Supervision for Dietitians

Clinical mentorship/supervision can offer dietitians, dietetic interns, and nutrition students an opportunity to:

  • Expand their knowledge and skills

  • Increase their confidence

  • Unlearn harmful practices

  • Develop self-awareness

  • Reduce imposter syndrome

Our dietitian supervisors aim to provide a brave and supportive environment in which to discuss cases, explore where you are feeling stuck, and ask questions. In supervision, supervisees are invited to share with vulnerability and embrace the discomfort of “not knowing”.

Through this process, supervisees develop new ways of practicing that better serve both their wellbeing, and the wellbeing of the people they support. Our dietitian supervisors offer both individual and group support.
